Your documents are yours.
You are trusting us with paperwork about your family's care. Here is exactly what happens to it — in plain words, the way everything else here is written.
The short version
We read the documents you give us to explain them back to you — that is all. We do not sell your data, run ads, or share it with data brokers, ever. Your documents are never used to train our own AI. The sample circle needs no account and stores nothing about you; a real account keeps your circle so your family can come back to it, until you ask us to delete it.
What we collect
The documents you add. We work with their text to produce your plain-language reading, surface deadlines, and point you to the right office. Please redact anything you do not need us to see.
Your email address — only if you create an account. We use it to send a time-limited, passwordless sign-in link and to identify your circle. There are no passwords to store.
Basic technical signals. Like any website, our servers briefly see your IP address and request headers. We use them transiently to keep the service available and to rate-limit abuse — not to build a profile of you.
How your documents are processed
To turn a dense notice into a clear explanation, we send its text to our AI provider (Anthropic) for that single purpose, and the result is returned to you. We do not use your documents to train any model of our own. Our provider’s standard commercial terms state that content sent through its API is not used to train its models — and our engine is built so it cannot send a real document at all unless we have explicitly confirmed those terms cover this deployment.
The engine quotes only what is literally on your document; it is designed so it cannot invent a number, a date, or a citation that is not there. See how we stay honest.
What is stored, and for how long
The sample circle (no account). The demo is a built-in, read-only example. Nothing you view there is yours, and nothing about you is stored.
Your circle (with an account). The documents you add, their plain-language readings, your checklist, and your circle’s members are stored in our database so you and the people you invite can return to them. They are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Deleting your data
Your circle is yours to close. Write to hello@throughline.example and we will remove your stored documents, readings, and account, and confirm when it is done. Demo data needs no request — it is never yours to begin with.
Who can see your circle
Only the people you invite. Roles control who can manage the circle, so a helper does not need the same access as a parent or guardian. We never share your circle with anyone else.
Changes, and how to reach us
If we change anything that materially affects your privacy, we will post the updated policy here before it takes effect. Questions, concerns, or a deletion request: hello@throughline.example.
This policy is a draft under legal review and will carry a dated “last updated” stamp before launch.
